How does FactCheckTool work?

The entire process takes just seconds.

Account & Usage

Do I need an account to use FactCheckTool?

You get one free fact-check and another free one when you create an account. After that, you'll need to subscribe to one of our plans to continue using the service.

What are credits and how do they work?

Credits help you search more. Each plan includes a monthly credit allocation that resets at the start of your billing cycle:

  • Starter: 100 credits/month
  • Pro: 500 credits/month
  • Truth Seeker: 2000 credits/month

Credits do not roll over to the next month.

Can I access my search history?

Search history access is available on the Pro and Truth Seeker plans. This feature allows you to review all your previous fact-checks and their results.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from your account settings page. Once deleted, all your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where required by law.

If you have an active subscription, please cancel it first before deleting your account.

Pricing & Billing

What are your pricing plans?

We offer three subscription plans:

  • Starter: $19.99/month - 100 credits
  • Pro: $49.99/month - 500 credits + search history
  • Truth Seeker: $129.99/month - 2000 credits + search history + priority support

For enterprise needs and API access, please contact us.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. When you cancel:

  • You keep access until the end of your billing period
  • No future charges will be applied
  • Your account reverts to free tier after the period ends

Do you offer refunds?

We do not offer refunds. All sales are final. However, you can:

  • Try our service with one free fact-check before subscribing
  • Cancel your subscription anytime to prevent future charges

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes! You can change your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You'll continue to have access to your current plan's features until then.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor. All transactions are encrypted and secure.
