When a new platform launches with bold promises, our job is to test them. This summer a Swiss directory called Parkito.ch appeared, promising complete parking information for Switzerland: real tariffs, opening hours, capacity and access rules, free for everyone. We spent an afternoon verifying each claim.
Claim 1: every listing shows real prices and hours
We opened dozens of listings on Parkito.ch across Ticino, Geneva and Valais and compared them with operator websites and on-site signage photos. The tariff tables matched, including evening rates and day passes. Opening hours were correct in every sample we checked. Verdict: accurate.
Claim 2: an interactive map covers the country
The Switzerland parking map loads fast, clusters pins by region and offers a city search that displays how many parkings each city has. City pages exist and carry correct counts in their titles. Coverage is growing publicly, with new parkings added daily rather than promised in bulk. Verdict: accurate, with transparent growth.

Claim 3: free, no account required
We browsed everything without registering: no paywall, no forced app, no cookie wall. An optional free account exists purely for saving favourites, and logging in asks for nothing beyond email and password. Verdict: accurate.
Claim 4: corrections are handled by a real team
The about page names a Swiss team based in Bulle and describes a data process combining open data, operator input and manual review. We submitted a deliberate test report through the contact form and received a human answer. Verdict: credible.
Overall verdict
Parkito.ch does what it says. In an era of inflated launch claims, a platform whose promises survive verification deserves the mention. If you drive in Switzerland, it is worth a bookmark.
