For transparency: I'm a developer of RemNote, and as such, I have been using the product for more than a year now. The UI/UX has improved from barely usable, to a pleasant experience. Our company is really focused on the community, and that will continue to drive our product. In that sense, I really stand behind our company mission. Sure, there's plenty of things to improve, like further UI/UX polish, and a lot of stability improvements. That said, I think the current version is ahead of its competition in terms of gaining and retaining knowledge. That's why I'm giving it 5 stars.
The best spaced repetition note taking app. I have used it to learn Greek since Remnote started, and I love it!
- I do love the concept and functions of this APP, but to be honest, its user interface really needs further embellishment. - First of all, the default font size is small and hard to read, and having to adjust it by using CSS templates also makes it inconvenient for me. - The operation process from one page to another is not very smooth. It took me over 3 minutes to find out how to reference a specific rem's content and display that content in the page I wanted. - The initial guidelines were cool, but only covered a very small part of the app, which left me with a lot of confusion as I went through more actions.
RN team 有自己清晰的设计思路,得益于整个创世团队本身就是知识管理的高手,并且有丰富的知识管理领域的心得体会。 好的方面: 1. 双链笔记 + Anki 间隔重复的思路很赞 2. Everything is a rem, 支付问题,需要接入更多的第三方支付工具 --- RN team has their clear thoughts on product developing, as they are all best at the area of knowledge management, also have good sense and their own thoughts. Good Parts: 1. bi-links note + Anki/spaced repetation 2. Everything is a rem, it similar to object-oriented thoughts, it could be easily for users to build their own knowledge structure, as it brings extension and automation. 3. PDF reading + bi-links, it works really good. Need more efforts parts: 1. L10n & i18n, it brings a lot issue for non-ascii languages, especially has different keyboard settings. Hope users could change it by themselves 2. Could support more e-book formats like epub .etc 3. payments, if is hard for somebody without a visa card to pay, especially for students. In the whole, we love RemNote, hope it goes further.
A great mobile addition to a great desktop app. I use it every day for a huge range of tasks from quick notes to my personal knowledge base. And thanks to the quick and easy creation of flashcards based on any information, as well as the built-in spaced repetition alogorithm, all records are not lying dead weight, but actively used. I also keep a task list in RemNote, which is also convenient to use on a mobile device
This app exactly fits my needs. Apart from other basic note-taking features, this has something I dreamt of highlighting and spaced repetition. - PDF highlighting and parallel note-taking on them. - FlashCards - Daily Notes Cons: - Tagging feature is not ok. I like RoamResearch's tagging feature rather than RemNote's.
Better for second brain, very different from Notion. Barebone bullet-point style knowledge management, but something powerful in its simplicity. What I mean by this is that it allows frictionless thought-capture, just jotting down thoughts in its most basic form. Yet, its simplicity doesn't mean it is unorganised; so many features keep coming to help organise it post-jot. My go-to thought capture tool and second brain.
It seems like it is a great tool and they clearly want to make it easy to use for all people, but there are some problems that are really basic that apparently a lot of users have to which the answer in the forum is "it is not possible so far". (f.e. only showing immediate children on flashcards). And if the most basic functions dont work i cant use it at all no matter how fancy it is.
I do not use this as often as I once did. I find the learning curve a little steep. I intended to use it for both study purposes and personal knowledge management system. I came to it as a PKMS as it was previously in beta and recommended by another site. Still, neither this nor Notion are as intuitive as they could be.
I honestly don't know what I would do without this app, it unites note-taking and flashcards thus saving me TONS of time!! AND the basic features are completely free, which I really appreciate. The mobile app makes everything even easier and more practical
RemNote provides me with a sensation: weighty - its complexity overwhelms me. Even basic tasks such as "creating tags" become intricate endeavors. Due to these circumstances, I have sought refuge in an alternative note-taking software.
Really appreciated not having to manually enter data into flashchards/quizzes, etc. Could definitely replace quizlet for me! The UI is a little busy but spending a few minutes navigating it is worthwhile.
