Superior algorithms + less ads than Spotify = SoundCloud forever (seriously, the auto-play never gets reckless, you can leave it playing forever it's that good)
How can you build a product without music? Thanks SoundCloud to all the great music you have made me discover while building the product!
I like it very much, because they have a also mixes from DJs and not only songs.
You can always discover something fresh and unusual here!
SoundCloud hasn't just been an app for me; it's been a core part of my musical journey since 2011. What sets SoundCloud apart is its raw, ground-level connection to emerging talent. Long before artists break into the mainstream, they're often found here, sharing their work directly and building communities. Beyond just new artists, SoundCloud has been my primary gateway to genre-bending music that defies easy categorisation.
I love the seamless integration between SoundCloud and YouTube for podcast distribution. SoundCloud's user-friendly interface allows creators to easily generate an RSS feed for their podcasts, facilitating efficient content management. By connecting this RSS feed to YouTube, podcasters can automatically publish their episodes to a vast audience, enhancing their reach and engagement. This streamlined process eliminates the need for manual uploads, saving time and ensuring consistency across platforms. The ability to distribute content effortlessly across multiple channels exemplifies the convenience and effectiveness of modern digital tools in podcasting.
Been using SoundCloud for years, it does exactly what it is supposed to very efficiently , I do think they charge a bit too much for the SoundCloud plus, but i still am using it, so there is that. Overall though, i think we would be lost without SoundCloud, Its became extremely vital to independent artist releases, such as bandcamp.
SoundCloud is a vibrant platform for discovering new music and connecting with emerging artists. Its user-friendly design and diverse audio library make it a go-to for music lovers and creators.
Though Spotify keeps being a good place to discover new, but mostly guaranteed music, in Soundcloud you will find new stuff. Always. Good? Lovable? Clean? Doesn't matter. New? Hell yeah
Love the app because you can get quite a few unreleased tracks, and you also get access to new artists who can't afford to get onto Spotify or Apple Music.
Soundcloud is more intuitive than some alternatives and has a healthier mix of emerging artists. I have a monthly subscription and it's 100% worth it.
SoundCloud provides an amazing space for creativity and discovery. I love the community vibe and the feedback from fellow musicians.
SoundCloud is a musical melting pot that earns a solid 4/5 in my book. Its standout feature lies in its open-door policy for artists—unlimited uploads mean a vast and diverse library, showcasing an array of genres and hidden gems waiting to be discovered. The platform's community engagement is a winner, fostering interactions between users and artists through comments, creating a lively space for music enthusiasts. The free tier, while interrupted by occasional ads, remains a generous gateway for those exploring without committing to a subscription. One of SoundCloud's charms is its versatility; it's not just about tracks but also a hub for podcasts, remixes, and a mix of audio content that goes beyond the mainstream. However, the sheer volume of content can make discoverability a bit of a challenge, relying heavily on recommendations or targeted searches. Quality-wise, it's a mixed bag; while some tracks boast top-notch audio, others may lack the fidelity audiophiles seek. The occasional ad interruptions in the free version might nudge you towards a premium subscription for an uninterrupted experience. In essence, SoundCloud is a dynamic platform, offering a unique space for both artists and listeners. While it has its quirks, like any platform, its commitment to fostering musical diversity and community engagement makes it a worthwhile destination for music exploration.
