Hello, I spoke with a mod named Ashley who I felt was great in the beginning. I vented for a long time but then at the end she was getting hostile towards me about religious topics and I was trying to explain to her I was bullied. She got upset and rude about my opinions and then told me without evidence that it was against the rules and I don’t understand why. I’m pretty upset about that. She needs to understand that I’m a person with feelings and she didn’t get that. I’m bullied a lot and I’m a trauma survivor and I came on to help myself and she didn’t make it easy. It felt like she dehumanized me and said I was disrespectful when I wasn’t. She argued to say that I was no matter what even though I warned her I was autistic you know and she still proceeded to abuse me and accuse me of being disrespectful. It made me upset and caused a meltdown and she didn’t care. She kept bullying me and she also believed what others said about me and that’s when she changed. I never saw anywhere you couldn’t speak about religion. I never saw that you have to speak or else the chat closes. These mods are shady and they are manipulating me and turning things around against me. What I am trying to say is now because this was happening I wasn’t trusting what she said because it was unusual. She didn’t prove anything. I only liked this site because you can talk for a while but it can’t be about anything. They tell you not to type in paragraphs either. They kept targeting me. I already get picked on enough. I feel these people hate me.
I have heard about Supportiv from a friend of mine ( he is probably somewhere in the comments too ) He wasn't much happy about the experience he had, but he told me about the website and said to give it a try. After using the free period that this guys provide I felt really good while chatting in their rooms. I loved it and decided to stay longer and in the end of the day it costed me less then a coffee and I really got the help I felt I needed. So in the end of the day it is an individual feeling probably some people have had better and some worse experience but I believe we should appreciate the fact that there is a platform that provides mental support to people that are in the need.
I regret using this site in the first place and it's not just a few mods that gave me problems it's most of them on there. This site is disappointing and the mods are cunning and I didn't do anything wrong and the blamed me for what they did themselves. Supportiv claims they don't diagnose but they do. "Supportiv does not offer advice, diagnosis, treatment or crisis counseling. Peer support is not a replacement for therapy. Please consult with a doctor or licensed counselor for professional mental health assistance" This was on there website and they have diagnosed me before in the past. They against what they claim to do. I don't trust this site anymore. Their website also claims that they don't judge and they do because they have judged me and they were unkind to me for no reason. They cross boundaries on this site and it's horrendous. Also there is no excuse to blame me and then act like they are the victim. I don't know what is wrong with the moderators but they are not that great at all. They often say things that are supposed to helpful I guess but its triggering and they don't care. They act like they have been helpful. They admit they think so highly of themselves and it seems like they don't admit they make mistakes. I had some mods that were full of themselves and acted like they were better and they could say anything they wanted regardless. This is a toxic website and they play the victim if they don't like what they hear from me and I don't know what is wrong with them. It makes me sad and I am not happy with the way I was treated. I liked that sometimes I could say whatever I wanted without getting booted but I have different beliefs and different opinions and I don't like they get offended. I think the mods need to listen to their own advice they give and they need to stop taking things personally.
As a veteran and someone with a very sensitive and difficult past, I was introduced to this website by a good friend of mine. I'm not the best at leaving reviews and giving high complex wordings regarding it but what I am good at is being honest. With 100% honesty I can say that the website helped me and the moderators were very extremely kind and helpful. I suggest people should try it first before judging it!
I've been using the website when I really needed it the most. Probably it is an individual experience judging by the comments from other users but for me personally it was levitating. The moderators were very helpful and the community overall helped me get through the hard times.
I went on here to help with my suicidal thoughts and the situation I’m in, and before I could even fully vent and be listened to I was directed to suicide hotline. Now I feel even worse, if not even a stranger on a vent website wants to listen to me then who will
