Super nifty! I started a video training course this morning and the speakers voice was super bassy and recorded in a crappy environment - so it was baddddd for me trying to understand this dude. Thought "I need a damn eq right about now" and decided to see what I could find that would fit in the Mac sound stack. eqMac popped up in my searching so I installed. With just a few tweaks with the generic 'free' 3 band eq (bass, mids, treble) - the audio track was not only listenable, it was damn good! Peak limiter being available did help with normalizing the speakers volume and the interface also put the system volume knob right there for me to leverage. Good stuff here!
The best choice for my iMac is eqMac. It works reliably and delivers everything I need from an equalizer. In earlier versions, it very rarely caused issues by interfering with other applications’ web connections. In such cases, restarting the app resolved the problem. I haven’t experienced any issues with the current version.
The free version itself is great but once you get pro version you get almost unlimited PEQ and also the spectrum analyser is excellent. This gives us a clear indication of how our equalization is working for the song. Highly recommended for MAC users and there is no other software which gives me these features in one app.
I started with one of the beta versions for eqMac, loved it and subscribed to a recurring subscription over a year ago. The fact that baseline EQ setups for everything from bluetooth audio devices to IEMs are included and easy to customize makes this app more than worth the money. Nice work!
I've been using this app for over a year now and love using it. There are some minor issues with it that are a slight inconvenience at times, but overall they do not get in the way of my daily usage and I've found great value in the app for listening to music through my DAC, as well as improving conference call audio quality.
This is the best thing in the world for eq on Mac, whether you're just starting out or need a pro tool. Plus a very useful catalog of presets for many headphone models, which will show you in a friendly way where to start experimenting.
Makes a world of difference. Just try flicking through the many available profiles and see what you like. I personally love how the Monoprice M1060 preset sounds on my LCD-X cans.
Good tool that does what it is advertising. Nice UI, user-friendly. Fair pricing structure allowing to either subscribe or pay once. Switches to AirPods without any issue.
Great! My bose speakers have way too much bass and with eqMac I can reduce bass for free and works without problems! Thank you! God bless you :)
Love it. Easy to use. Plenty of options. As a sound engineer with 2 shitty speakers. I appreciate the ability to improve the sound.
