Let's get one thing straight -- there is a world of difference between the people who got the first batch of units (which were all messed up) and those who got the later units, which are amazing. I got both units. When they asked who wanted the early alpha units for feedback, I told them to send me only one of my units at the time. And yes, the early units needed improvement, which is WHY they asked -- they sent out those early units specifically for feedback. But I think a lot of backers didn't read or understand what was being asked of them. I got the early unit, sent my feedback, and just last week I received the new unit. And holy moly, THERE IS A WORLD OF A DIFFERENCE. They really took in all feedback and made an awesome product. It feels amazing. It cleans well. It's reliable. It does such a good job at cleaning and flossing the teeth. Since the early units, they changed a lot -- including much faster pulsing speed, much higher pressure, more comfortable mouthpiece, and (yes) they fixed all the leaking issues that were present in the early units. I am very satisfied, this is honestly the best water flosser I have ever used. I feel like all the early negative reviews are unfair. Instafloss asked its backers if they wanted to test the early alpha version units to give feedback or wait. Some people received those units and left scathing reviews. Hello, that's not how Kickstarter works. They took our feedback and we were all part of creating something awesome, which is the current Instafloss. Any negative review older than a month or two from mine should be discarded. Instafloss rocks!
This is the best water flosser I've ever used. I just received mine after a long wait (Kickstarter Pledge) and am impressed by how well it cleans. I have a spot between a few teeth where food often gets stuck, and even my regular water flosser has to work a fair amount to get out. I often have to combine it with a floss tape and a dental stick. With this flosser, it quickly removes everything from all angles. Now, I hope they will make a portable version so I can replace my travel water flosser as well 🙂. A few things to know: it is a bit louder than a regular one, likely because of the amount of water it uses when flushing from all angles, and it requires a higher pressure. There is a video on how to adjust the mouthpiece for each half of the mouth, which I recommend seeing before first use. It will take a few uses to get used to tilting your head to let all the water down the sink.
What a waste of time and money this thing is. I backed their Kickstarter all the way back in 2020 and only just received it last week, five years later. Unfortunately, it's utter garbage. One of the mouthpieces won't even stay in the tube - as soon as you turn it on it pops out and water gushes everywhere. If that were the only issue, that's fixable. But unfortunately, even at the highest pressure, the water pressure from the device does absolutely nothing to floss your teeth. Do not bother with this thing.
Like many other reviews here, I had an earlier model but customer service was excellent in resolving it. Despite the early production problems, they have now come out with a model that does everything it's supposed to. I hate string flossing and was not consistent at it. The Instafloss is so ridiculously simple and gets the job done. It's a pleasant experience and I love how clean my teeth feel afterwards. It wasn't mentioned in their advertising, but my teeth are whiter. The REAL test is the great report from my dental hygienist who has reduced the frequency of my professional cleanings.
The Instafloss is a unique product that I backed on Kickstarter and have had for about a year now. It’s like a Waterpik (water flosser) but is much faster. It can put out an impressive amount of water in those 10 seconds. I chose to receive one of the early models; it had an issue with the tank valve leaking, but they sent me a new one free of charge and that fixed the issue. They have also sent me new mouthpiece prototypes to try. These guys have had some trouble with ramping up production like many startups, but they are really trying to get it right, and I think they have something here with this product.
So, I backed Instafloss ages ago. I waited. And waited. And read all those comments about early units being finicky. I figured I’d just bide my time until they nailed it. Well, my patience paid off. The unit I got is a beast — in a good way. First night using it, my teeth felt like they do after a cleaning. My wife (who rolls her eyes at my gadgets) tried it and now we fight over who gets it first in the morning. Pro tip: warm water makes it feel like a spa treatment for your gums.
I am 10 months in and my 2nd dental appointment.... my Dentist was shocked at how clean my teeth were. I will continue to use my Instafloss for sure, but I still do floss at least a couple times a week. It does not get out all the food at least on my tight teeth. The power is very strong and can be adjusted, but it takes some getting used to. It is a little larger than I thought it would be, but I really do feel my teeth are cleaner after using it. I will continue to use this. I think new versions that the company makes will be much better, I am an early user and my sink has a pull out handle spray so it is very easy for me to fill and use each night. Every so often I remove the water container to give it a good cleaning.
I was one of the first to receive an Instafloss unit, and I have to say, my initial experience was mixed. The unit I received had a couple of issues right out of the box, which was disappointing. However, the customer service team went above and beyond to address my concerns. They were incredibly responsive and promptly sent me a replacement unit. The new unit works perfectly, and I'm now a huge fan of Instafloss. The instructions are simple, and the flossing experience is enjoyable. I used to dread flossing, but now I find myself looking forward to it every day. The unit is slightly larger than my old water flosser, but it fits well on my counter and doesn't take up much space. The motor noise is comparable to other water flossers, which gives a sense of power as I floss. Overall, despite the rocky start, Instafloss has proven to be a fantastic addition to my mornig routine. In fact, I have a dental visit in a couple weeks and I'm eager to see what they say about my oral health! The customer service alone makes it worth trying, and I'm glad I stuck with it through the initial hiccups. Highly recommended!
Instafloss has finally gotten me to floss. The instructions are simple and the floss feels very good. I now floss 3x a day and actually look forward to it. The unit is slightly larger than my old waterpik (which I never used because it was annoying) but that's ok because the footprint on my counter is roughly the same. It has a motor noise, which all water flossers due, I guess, so you can imagine the feeling of power as you floss. I was one of the kickstarter backers and I waited many years for this and I'm glad it finally arrived. I'm also glad I wasn't the first to get it -- in the Kickstarter comments, it seems that the first batch of units people got were defective, which sucks, but they gave refunds. I chose to wait until the 3rd batch of units went out and I'm not experiencing any of the issues reported by the first batch (and a little by the 2nd batch). It seems like it was a rocky start for them, but it's worth the wait!!
I didn’t expect to love this because it’s not portable like my little travel flosser. But the speed and thoroughness make it worth using at home every single day. I still travel with string floss, but the second I’m back, it’s Instafloss time.
