I'm split on this. I have been a paid subscriber for about a month and a half now and I had one interview with a recruiter. It wasn't a great fit, although it was one that I had selected manually. I didn't make the next round. I'm debating if paying to have more applications submitted in the month is the answer, or if I should just quit and continue a more targeted approach. For the time, I'll probably keep the basic subscription, because there are many roles I'm not applying to otherwise. There were 152 applications submitted and 6 were not able to be submitted because the role was already filled. Of those 95 were selected by me and 57 were selected by Sonara. Sometimes I had to dig deep to find good titles to apply for, and sometimes when I was short on time I'd grab more general selections. I used ChatGPT to do the analysis. Sonara just lists the jobs, but doesn't give you the data. I feel like the price is a little high for something that should be managed by an AI which is still in beta. For the role I did get an interview for, there is no way to provide feedback that I made it to the next round. You'd think this would help with the AI learning. Also there is no easy way to provide feedback to the development team, which for a product in Beta, I'd think they would want that. After I find my next role, I may continue using Sonara to help me apply to titles that are a bit of a stretch. Overall this is a time saver and adds a little more authenticity over LinkedIn's "Easy Apply". If it's where I land a job from, or I start seeing the interview count go up, then it could definitely get to 5 stars.

Sonara started out good — I actually found a role using it in the earlier phases (although it was a job I selected and applied to outside of sonara). The product quality has significantly declined and the price can’t be justified. If you can afford it, then it doesn’t hurt to use it, but if you’re seriously looking for a job, then be cautious. It also greatly depends on your industry. The job offerings have seemed to fall off in quality and quantity and the applications when read back need work. Jobs that have been applied to are often ‘no longer available’ but Sonara doesn’t credit you back for applications that essentially never went anywhere. They don’t auto apply on the weekends which seems quite arbitrary and doesn’t make sense. Why not give users the option to auto apply each day or have the setting of changing how many jobs you choose vs sonara chooses. I’ve been comparing sonara and usemassive and so far I have more experience with sonara, but the quality of jobs between the two are night and day — sonara needs an update to where ever they are pulling jobs from. Hopefully it gets better, but it’s definitely gotten worse since its debut. Other options are popping up that are more effective and a better value.

I love the idea of this product, but I don't recommend it currently. The answers the ai comes up with to application questions are often wrong, left empty, or just copy pasted from the resume and don't make sense. I've used this for the past month, and there are too many kinks in the product for it to be useful at the moment. I can't imagine anyone getting an interview with the product currently. I look forward to it improving.

:( There is no link to contact Support :( Ageism is real and Sonara will not work unless you submit the dates on your degree. Since there is no link to chat with Support and no explanation of what Sonara will do with the dates on your degree it makes no sense to use Sonara.ai :( Great potential, poor rules engine

Terrible UI, page barely loaded in. Tried this and it just sucked up by money without providing any actual jobs - when it did apply, half of them were duplicates of the same listing but I was charged separately each time. Lots of work to do here.

I tried Sonara for about 3 weeks. At first, it seemed like everything I wanted in a platform to automate job applications, however, I was quickly let down. I started with their base-level subscription option, which seemed to work okay. I noticed a few jobs failed to apply however the message shown mentioned this was due to the opening no longer being available or the job was filled. Fair enough I thought. Let me try to upgrade my subscription to the highest tier to increase my volume of applications. The upgrade I made allowed me to find all of the evident issues with this platform. To start, you can expect roughly 25-40% of all applications to fail. Why you might ask? This is due to Sonara having no solution to email verification which is required for nearly half of the job postings they show you. Why they don't use a private email relay of sorts is beyond me. Or maybe don't show jobs that require this? Who knows. Another major issue is the extreme lack of support. If you message them, expect to hear back after a few days at best although they use intercom for live chat support. This isn't the end of the world, however when 25-40% of your applications fail EVERY DAY, and they tell you you'll need to reach out to support for compensation on those applications EVERY time, it becomes very annoying. I reached out last Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. It's now Monday and still nothing. Aside from this, there are plenty of other issues with this platform. They show filters for entry, mid, or senior-level jobs. If you choose entry, you'll still see all other jobs, plenty of which require 3+ years of experience which is far from entry-level. The filters do absolutely nothing, even for the auto-selected jobs. Every day you'll need to go in and manually sort through these jobs to match your preferences which is almost as time-consuming as actually applying yourself. The same goes for the location filter, even if you don't have remote jobs included, half of your job feed will show remote jobs. I also haven't had a job submitted for the last 3 business days. I currently have 75 jobs pending application, and no idea as to why this is. My last message to support mentioned I wanted a refund or ill be contacting my credit card company and they can deal with the charge back. Clearly didnt receive the services as advertised. Save yourself the time and money, linkdin quick apply is a much better option and Ive seen 10x the results for free.

I love the idea, but the tech just isn't ready, at least not for all job fields. I'm a scientist and I was very clear on the questionnaire about what key words to look for when searching for jobs, yet not once have a seen a job listing on here that I qualify for, despite there being new ones every day popping up on Indeed. It keeps applying me to jobs that are in no way related to my background. So far, this has been a complete waste of money. I canceled after the first day, but won't be getting my money back, unfortunately. I've tried pausing Sonara so that it would stop applying me for jobs I am neither qualified for nor have an interest in, but I'm still getting notified by companies everyday regarding my submitted application for a position I know I won't even be asked to interview for. I see potential for this platform, but some major changes need to be made before I try this again. For now, fellow scientist, this probably isn't a resource for you.

It will apply for jobs automatically. It will not find jobs you are actually qualified for and it will recommend jobs with completely different skill sets than what you have.
