Love it, have played since in beta. In my experience Stride really shines at 2 things: 1) encouraging you to explore new areas to color in the hexes. As an added incentive, if you do a loop run all of the hexes in the middle color in as well. Stride's led me to get out of my same-old run and explore all kinds of new, different routes that I never would have. It's made running far more varied and interesting. 2) the first time I lost hexes to another player I found myself caring and plotting a new running route to reclaim the hexes. This social competition has led to a friendly tug-of-war of key hexes which definitely makes running more exciting.

Great game, really enjoyed making my long bike rides strategic. You loose your whole loop (yes even those 17 mile loops) if you loose signal even for a moment though. I stopped playing a year ago because of this, and am back hoping for a change. It’s an easy fix, why wait so long, low signal here in the mountains. Cache the loop data to the phone as a backup in case signal is lost. Wish wasn’t so absurdly expensive, waiting for a discount day 🤞 Update: a glitch prevented me from ending my track and ended up getting flagged for cheating once I got in a car later that day. No response from customer support as of day 12. Customer support was no good a year ago too. Never received 3 months free promo either. Looking for a refund but hopefully a response first.

I have been running with Stride since it began as Run An Empire. It lost its way for while, but is now back to the basics, which are the really fun parts of the game! I love running, and Stride adds an extra layer of achievement to my runs. Plus, it encourages me to go running in new areas, and claim new territory, instead of running around the same park every time (although I need to keep running around my park as well so no one else steals it!). A great game, with new features being released regularly, so I would highly recommend it to everyone that wants to spend more time outdoors. My vote for the next feature is to be able to message other runners, so you can meet like minded people and create teams (not just from your existing friends). Well done to the Stride developers - all the best for the launch!!

Fantastic app. As a top 10 global leaderboard user, I've enjoyed this reboot from Day 1 (much more than Run an Empire!). Worth every penny and keeps me exploring regularly. I look forward to every weekend trek with a passion I never had before. Only areas of improvement are better customer service and more attention to weeding out cheaters. It seems only posting on Reddit gets some attention from the devs, and even then it's occasional. Other than that minor quip though, the app is a solid 10!

Great app that adds some fun to your walks and runs. No need to use the app while your out and about, since you can upload your routes from Apple Health. However, the devs don’t respond at all to feedback about cheating users. They literally post about Product Hunt and different campaigns on Reddit but ignore users’ complaints about cheaters. So I’m not sure if I’ll stick around in the long run, if they only focus on monetizing and expanding and not taking care of the existing users.

I've been using the free version of Stride, which has really motivated me to go out on (longer) walks and explore new territory. I like the competitive element of 'chasing' others who also frequent that area. I've had a few instances in which the app froze or didn't save, which was annoying. This may now be resolved. I'm considering joining as premium member but think it's too expensive. The upside of that would be to be sort of a club or community, which I'm currently not

I love Stride! I've been using it consistently for ages - I love building my territory and that makes me run new routes and run further than I would otherwise do. I've recently been injured but am still using the app to record my walks; which makes it way better than Strava which just leaves me cold when I'm out of action.

I used to enjoy the game immensely, am I paying player and am in the top 20 globally and the #1 player in the United States but rampant cheating is stealing accomplishments and fun from honest players. Sadly the devs are seemingly looking the other way and do next to nothing about it. I hope this changes and that this once great game becomes fun again.

Been trying to walk more, especially during this pandemy, and after weeks of using it I noticed that I actively make more efforts in going outside (also to keep them raiders away from my precious hexagons). Overall, it's great UX and the UI is pretty.

Cool, original, unique. Stride has definitely added another dimension to my running and walking. I’ve found myself taking different or new routes than usual to try and expand my territory.
