I feel like Affinity falls short in vrious ways with lack of feature depth, customisation and general ease of use issues.

VectorStyler is simply an outstanding tool. It is a great alternative to Illustrator and pairs well with other tools due to its good and constantly improving/expanding format support. The developers are incredibly responsive so make sure to report any bugs you find and make suggestions because they will be heard. The amount of customisation to the workspace, settings and panels allows for a very personalised workflow with the exact behaviours you want. Then there are presets recently added for complex transforms and mirrors saving you time later on during projects. The amount of tools and effects on offer is remarkable with intuitive polished fine controls with documentation for those who want that bit more clarity on exactly how something works. VectorStyler's ease of use is remarkably high given the depth to it. It is very intuitive and user-friendly. I chose VectorStyler over free options like Affinity because I simply found VectorStyler more intuitive whilst offering more of the features I wanted. The developers are very responsive and passionate with their ears to the ground in their Discod and Forums. I can highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get an incredibly powerful piece of software with great perpetual licencing to replace Illustrator and escape the inevitable rug pull of free Canva's acquired Affinity.
