For me, the development experience with Astro has been fantastic. I’ve used it to build several content-driven websites, which is exactly the type of site Astro excels at. However, Astro is not limited to static content sites—it's now capable of handling backend APIs, making full-stack development possible. That’s why I’m also using Astro to develop various full-stack websites. I remember seeing a member of the Astro founding team mention that they hope people find it almost impossible to build slow websites with Astro. I really admire this mindset and dedication, and I hope Astro continues to become even more powerful and user-friendly in the future.

Astro has changed the way I write static pages forever. This is a way too good piece of software tooling for frontend devs. It has ironed out many issues I face, while offering a simple and easy way to write webpages, especially with Type saftey even inside markdown. And the fact that you can write components in almost any framework is amazing as well... The islands architecture is really nice, opting into interactivity as needed. View Transitions in Astro is unparalleled. Starlight is an amazing docs framework. Finally time to move off of VitePress, even if it was pretty good.

Astro combines developer experience and performance using its own compiler. One of its standout features is "partial hydration," which allows websites to be static by default, eliminating unnecessary JavaScript and improving load speed. In addition, Astro introduces the concept of "Island Architecture", allowing components to load and render independently.

As a front-end developer, Astro.js has become my secret weapon for crafting high-performance custom websites effortlessly. Its lightning-fast pre-rendering and modular architecture not only boost page speed but also streamline development. Astro.js adapts seamlessly to any project, from simple landing pages to complex web apps. The documentation is stellar, making it easy for both beginners and seasoned developers. The collaborative features and effortless deployment make team projects a joy. In short, Astro.js is my go-to for rapid custom web development, delivering speed and flexibility without compromise.

Amazing performance and equally amazing developer experience. Has a lot of great features and adapters making it easy to deploy on various hosting platforms. Great choice no matter the size of the project as builds always stay fast.

I use this as frontend for my knowledge base, so that I can have it without Obsidian installed or anywhere without syncing entire base! Absolute elegant and straight forward! Just a symlink to contents then build...rocket!

I created my web portfolio using Astro and it's ease of use is a great experience for me and I'm looking forward to using them in the future.
