We started using Docusaurus a few months ago. It allowed us to build our sites with all the bells and whistles quickly with a lean team. For example, we were able to set up a 20-pages-plus documentation for our app over a weekend. Plus it's extremely customizable. And since everything is code, we can grow the site, documentation, and blog with the same development process. It's been a joy.
We built docs.mogenius.com using Docusaurus 1.5 years ago and stayed with it ever since. The feature set on top of standard markdown support is great and the maintenance is so easy. It also has better options for customizing and integrations that for example gitbook.
Very nice tool! Keep going! :) With advanced layouts in the documentation files it gets a bit messy e.g. displaying multiple images, therefore I had to write my own CSS. Could be a future feature idea to also ship different layout options per default.
Docusaurus is a powerful and expandable batteries-included documentation framework. It's probably the right choice if you are a software developer and want to document your software service. We've used typedoc and openAPI integrations to generate a lot of automated documentation, and tie it into our hand-written documentation, all in one beautiful, SEO optimized, HIGHLY performant site.
Coming from MkDocs here. It would be awesome if the quick fire tutorial of Docusaurus can add **How To** video tutorial on using Docusaurus for already existing GitHub repo. I manage to do it via trial-and-error, so would be neat to have a standard methods for quick reference on my next Docusaurus experience. Congrats and kudos Docusaurus Team!
Simple, extensible, beautiful, and functional. What else could you want?! Docusaurus is the best tool out there — and not just for technical docs. I've used it for my personal site as well, and it works wonderfully.
I currently use Docusaurus on a daily basis for my website HelloJavaScript.info. The ease of use and clear documentation makes it easy for any level of developer to use the documentation framework.
Docusaurus makes it easy to create a professional-looking product documentation / developer manual. It is based on React but can be customized pretty well with plain Markdown and CSS
Amazing product. Such a delight to create friendly documentation websites 🤩 The only missing feature at the moment is some WIYSWYG to allow people to contribute easily.
Best Docs generator I've ever seen. Sometimes I need more settings (for example - delete/add header/footer on specific page) but it has a lot of them already.
One of the best Frameworks, with good DX, for building static sites and especially for documentation sites.
