Llama models + fine-tuning = Fast, Performance, Affordable. We use a blend of OpenAI, Anthropic and Llama for our SmythOS product. Usually when we start we use either OAI or Anthropic, and when something is popular/in scale demand, we then train a Llama model to speed things up and reduce costs. Synthetic data is where it's at. To do that, we build classifier agents in SmythOS, and we also build agents to evaluate and compare model providers and identify gaps in our data set.
We use Llama for a couple of our AI agents due to its open-source flexibility and efficiency. It allows us to customize the model to meet specific requirements while maintaining excellent performance.

The availability of powerful, openly accessible models like Llama 3 is driving incredible innovation across the industry. Not quite on par with the closed-weights/-source models at the moment. But it's clear that lots of work went into this, and the result is the most capable open-weights model. Please don't call it open-source, because it isn't.

Llama 4’s native multimodal capabilities are seriously impressive. The mixture-of-experts architecture really pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with text and image AI.
If you don't need a big context window, your budget is lean, and privacy is critical, then Llama is a good option to consider.
Llama-3 405B is impressive. Its performance rivals top models and it's open-source. Highly recommended!
