n8n powers the complex multi-agentic workflows behind Brand Stori's website analysis. We built sophisticated vision analysis pipelines that process entire websites, ensuring our LLMs understand page structure, design elements, and messaging hierarchy. The seamless database operations and integration capabilities made it incredibly easy to architect and debug our AI agents while maintaining data consistency across our entire system, giving us the robust automation backbone that makes accurate website scoring possible.
n8n saved me so much time. I really like that you can share the JSON to easily replicate someone else's workflow. I've used Zapier, which is probably the most well known out of all the node-based automation tools. I used Make.com for a while, but was really unsatisfied by the user experience. Make was also incredibly slllow. n8n is incredibly fast, I have yet to experience a bug. And by the time I wrangled around with Make, switching to n8n was easy.
n8n's open workflow editor platform gave us the perfect canvas to build our AI integration. What makes it better is its flexible node system that allowed us to create a seamless integration, letting our AI analyze and generate complex workflows without reimplementing the entire automation engine. The open fair-code model means our extension works for both cloud and self-hosted users.
I chose n8n over alternatives like Zapier and Make for three non-negotiable reasons:Cost and Scale (0€ License Fees): For all my clients (especially SMBs), the recurring, scaling subscription fees of proprietary No-Code tools become prohibitive quickly. n8n's open-source nature eliminates these license fees entirely. This means our clients invest only once in the deployment (managed by Azenflow), and then the operating cost is zero. This is a massive competitive advantage.Data Sovereignty and Compliance (RGPD): As a French agency, data privacy is paramount. Self-hosting n8n is the only reliable way to guarantee 100% data sovereignty and RGPD compliance. We retain full control over the infrastructure, which is impossible with cloud-locked competitors.Technical Depth and Customization: When projects move beyond simple trigger/action scenarios, n8n's ability to seamlessly integrate custom JavaScript, handle complex multi-step logic, and connect to proprietary APIs is unmatched. It's the only platform that offers the best of both the visual (No-Code) and the technical (DevOps/Code) worlds.
I chose n8n because it’s open-source, flexible, and allows me to connect multiple apps seamlessly. The visual workflow builder makes automation intuitive, and I can self-host it or deploy instances quickly without dealing with DevOps. It’s reliable, scalable, and perfect for both personal projects and client work.
n8n has revolutionized the way I handle workflow automation. As someone who loves to optimize processes, n8n offers an impressive array of features and flexibility. Its ability to connect various services and create complex workflows without any coding knowledge is a game-changer. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it accessible even for beginners. With n8n, I've been able to streamline tasks and boost productivity significantly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their workflow automation!
I love n8n. Once you get used to it, you will have a hard time going back to Zapier or Make. The simplicity and power of being able to draw your workflow on a canvas is great when compared to the linear approach of Zapier (Come on, paths are half-baked, tedious, and limited to 5) or the surprisingly rigid approach of Make (Why do I need a router & filter to split things?) The support for Javascript in any node with expressions also increases the functionality so much. Especially now with chatbots to help people code, low-code is actually easier than no-code in most instances. Plus, the pricing flexibility to self-host or use their fairly-priced cloud services are pretty much unmatched by rivals.
@janoberhauser congrats on hitting 1.0! It's been awesome watching the team grow n8n over the past 2 years. I've been using n8n for automation at our HCD firm since many of our clients are government and healthcare, and we can self host n8n, keeping our data secure and private. We've used it for tasks from scraping GitLab ticket content from our email notifications to pulling data from various APIs into Notion, spreadsheets, etc. One of the best parts of n8n, that makes it so usable is their community forum. Everyone is very helpful and responsive. We're excited to continue the journey with n8n!
N8N is currently used by our agency to send leads through Perspective. Due to the variable webhook structure (with Make there is an initial webhook, which then determines the data structure) we were able to dynamically integrate form systems via webhook and also add A/B tests & Co. to the system without much effort. In times of AI tools, it would be nice if N8N would offer a tool in the future, especially for the Javascript functions, to simply generate the functions via AI.
It was easier to start with n8n compared to make and provided more functionality
I have been using N8N about a month. It's insanely powerful. I'm using it to link all of our different enterprise systems and then building out incidence response processes that notify international teams working with different tools seamlessly. Its visual flow editing makes it much easier for others to 'read' than alternative automation products.
