Reflect

This is my first Product Hunt review. I found Reflect three months ago and it is the *only* tool (besides email) that I use every single day for work and personal life. I have used Notion, Apple notes, Evernote -- and I always ended up with disorganized notes that I never actually referenced later. Reflect is brilliant because it has you enter notes in chronological form and then uses backlinks to cross-reference everything. I use Reflect first thing to lay out my priorities, including collapsible details. Then I use it for meeting notes. Then I use it for brainstorming. I also use a Remarkable tablet to write in longhand when I don't want to be at a computer, then I sync those notes back into Reflect for any bigger projects. It's rare that a small team makes something this sticky and compelling. Hats off to Alex and the team at Reflect. You guys inspire me!

The minimalist interface belies its powerful capabilities, offering a distraction-free environment that promotes deep thinking and efficient note-taking. What truly sets Reflect apart is its lightning-fast performance and seamless networked note-taking functionality, making it incredibly efficient for managing technical documentation and project notes. The AI-powered features have elevated the experience to new heights. The semantic search capability is particularly impressive, allowing me to find relevant information without remembering exact keywords.

I’ve used a lot of notes apps (and am even slowly building my own) and thought I required a very heavy feature set. A friend suggested I try reflect and frankly I’m shocked how much I like it. It lacks some of the features of similar apps in the space, but more and more I find I don’t really need those — in large part because what Reflect does well, it does very well. Editor and general UX are smooth, calendar integration / meeting notes and the web clipper are well thought out and very useful. The AI features are super helpful as well. One of the things I like most is how the company is run. Though more expensive than some, I like that I’m supporting indy developer who actually listen to their user base. Can’t recommend strongly enough

Reflect is a great app that definitely deserves five stars. There are a few key features that make Reflect a great notes app choice for professionals. First, the integration with Google Calendar and Contacts makes it easy to manage your schedule and manage a personal CRM. Second, the built-in GPT-4 integration has many predefined prompts (which are great) but you can also create custom prompts, allowing you to write everything from emails to user stories to short blog posts with AI. Third, backlinks and daily notes are mainstays of all great note-taking apps now-a-days, and Reflect has implemented both of these perfectly (including unlinked references). And best of all, these features are all built into the app natively, no need for plugins. This means the user experience is seamless and exceptional. After jumping from Evernote, to Roam, to Craft, to Obsidian, to Agenda, I now personally use Reflect every day for taking meeting notes, building a CRM of people I meet with, and using the built-in AI to write various types of content. One of my favorite workflows is to use the Whisper integration to dictate the events of a meeting after it happens and then pass this dictation into GPT-4. Reflect will automatically insert a summary, action items, and next steps from my dictation. 🤯 Overall, Reflect is a must-have app for anyone looking for a calendar-based note taking tool that is beautifully and thoughtfully designed.

This is probably the most important app I have added to my stack in a long time. I'm an experienced founder and project manager with lots of experience using Obsidian, Notion, Todoist, Basecamp, the list goes on and this is what I need. It does such a goodl job of capturing ideas naturally with a focus on speed and security. Those are the top 2 if I were to pick. I hope to see people that are overwhelmed with Notion and Obsidian start to adopt this and Support the project. Alex and the team are also awesome. They are using testflight for the iOS app simply so they can post DAILY app updates to feedback requests and bugs. Unheard of.

I've been using Reflect for a few months now. Prior to this, I've used Roam, Obsidian, Logseq, Evernote, and Apple Notes at various times. Reflect is fast, intuitive, and it's clear the team is thoughtful about the details. This is now my primary note taking took. The only downside I've noticed so far is a lack of any collaborative features (thanks to e2e encryption). But since my main use case is just as my private brain anyway, it's not a big deal (and would argue it's a feature).

Like Obsidian but without wasting half of your time in configuration-land. This is a great example of how opinionated software can be beneficial for productivity tools. The meeting integration is seamless for taking notes and is incredibly valuable as an engineering manager constantly trying to keep track of one on ones and team goals.

It's a nice looking app and does work as described. However, it requires your brain to work in a way that mine doesn't or with data and notes that aren't like what I generate. It does away with hierarchy and folders and instead relies on backlinks between notes. I suppose that some people prefer not to have the hierarchy of folders but that is how my brain organizes data and the information I keep for work generally falls into that methodology. I really tried it and Notion and Obsidian but I just couldn't get my head around how they work. Maybe I'm too left brained or rigid or something.

Reflect is a breath of fresh air in the note-taking space, with an elegant and simple solution to a tricky problem: networked notes. I've used various note-taking apps over the years, with some in parallel - Reflect has allowed me to consolidate those and take my note-taking to the next level, or even note-take how I've wanted to due to its flexibility. The team are also on top of current trends (but certainly not chasing them) to keep Reflect feeling fresh and modern.

I'm an early user. The growth of the product has been impressive, as has the receptiveness of the core team to their community. Some critical features are being developed (appreciate how the team works in the open) and I'm eager for them to launch into the product. It's a crowded space and Reflect stands out
