Supercharging work. Bye to-do lists, and hello calendar blocking. This changes the way you plan forever! Every morning, you write out your main tasks, and (crucially) estimate the amount of time it takes for you to complete them. Then you can drag these onto your calendar, and you can realistically see what you can and cannot achieve in a day. Helps so so much with being realistic with your time and your days!
It's the best task list/calendar in one. We LOVE the integration with Linear. We can pull tasks from Linear into Sunsama, and as we progress on them, it also updates Linear statuses. Before, many of us used to use Things3 for managing tasks.
This is probably the most fantastic task-management app I've ever used! It combines all the tools (Jira, Asana, Trello, Todoist, Google Calendar, and more...) in one place and helps you focus on what's important every day. It drastically improved my work-life balance. Kudos to everyone who worked on this product!
Honestly, very very good app Very simply made and the ability to sync with so many other tools and create tasks so easily is amazing. The aesthetic is clean. I wish we could have a project tracker built within it, rather than just objectives and the ability to add notes for subtasks, and move objectives across weeks more easily. That said, the only real enhancement could be syncing this with something like Rize because the website is great. The phone app does need more work though, but I have no doubt we'll get there.
The daily planning ritual has become an essential part of my workflow, helping me maintain focus while juggling multiple projects. The ability to integrate with various tools like Jira, Asana, and Google Calendar creates a seamless hub for all my tasks. The time-blocking feature and workload warnings have been particularly valuable in preventing overcommitment and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. What truly sets Sunsama apart is its emphasis on intentional planning and reflection. The focus mode, daily shutdown ritual, and weekly reviews have helped me stay aligned with my objectives while maintaining productivity without burnout. For professionals managing complex workflows and multiple teams, this tool is invaluable in maintaining clarity and purpose in daily operations
Life changing. Too strong? Not really, it's amazing. It's like having a free coach. Excels when you don't have a boss telling you what you should do next. Any time you're master of your own time this is a must. And for bonus points the daily emails that come with it when you sign up are PACKED with excellent advice and tips for being effective with your time. Personally I combine sunsama, trello and GTD into a kick-ass system for making the best use of my day. GTD helps me have all possibilities organised and ready. Sunsama lets me take that and avoid overwhelm for a single day, and get IMPORTANT things done, not just busywork, without losing endless time to analysis paralysis between every bit of progress.
I would like to see cheaper options for the platform however I understand why it is priced at the level it is - Sunsama provides a premium business level service and while it is great for individual users such as myself, I can't expect to pay less for the same features. Maybe in time there will be restructuring that will allow less integrations or more business focussed additions that will enable cheaper pricing. Overall, this is an exceptional app and one that I use every day. The morning and evening review sessions along with founder Ashutosh's daily emails are a great addition to the app.
I’ve been looking at so many task management apps and a few planner apps. This is the one that I stuck to the longest. Mainly because of how the overall feature works to create that “less is more” productivity that doesn’t unconsciously bog me down feeling like I have neverending work to do. Though I do hope it has a lot more advance features that work with the current productivity workflow but nothing is perfect. They do however, provide transparency on their development. And you get to see what the community wants out of Sunsama which is really cool and is lacking in most apps out there.
Lovely product with a few really nice ideas to discipline your mind and help manage crowded days. But it is at least x3 from where it would be worth its price for me and I don't want yet another Electron app on my desktop.
Sunsama helps me thoughtfully plan out my day and keep myself from getting distracted by the random tasks and requests that come in throughout the day. It's my key to productive, calm days that lead to better work-life balance.
Decade of trying different software and approaches. Sunsama is my favorite. I had to bend some of my rules to get the best of the approach but it was many times worth it.
It's a good tool, but it's a bit expensive, and the UI is outdated. Functionality is up to the standard.
Trying the free trial. A bit expensive for me, but the best tool I used in terms of UX and simplicity.
