I'm here to leave a bad review! Be careful when using this tool! After working hard all afternoon and night, I was ready to share my final file with the team. The system told me I needed to move it to the team folder. I followed the instructions, and boom—everything was gone! A whole night's work just disappeared, not saved at all! The next day, I had no choice but to redo everything from scratch. And guess what? After clicking share, it vanished again—the entire file, completely wiped out, nothing saved! I have no words to express how angry I am right now...
Simple interface. Assets are fairly lightweight and interface is intuitive.
Woooo - super excited for the launch @drewosophy, @alistair_thomson and the rest of the LottieLab team! Lotties are now easy to create, manage and export thanks to LottieLab! 🙌🏾
Came across Lottie Lab today on PH. I came back to post because I want to share with the team behind this how nice it works and how useful it is. I am going to date myself, but I started my career a long time ago making flash banners, this brought me back but with much more simplicity. Nowadays I mostly focus on product work, but I got to set up an animation for our new website in less than 2 hours. Recorded the end result here. : https://www.loom.com/share/5b4ac...
LottieLab is an easy-to-use online tool for creating and editing Lottie animations without needing complex software like After Effects. It’s great for designers and teams who want to make quick, lightweight UI animations. However, it could improve by adding more advanced animation controls, better performance with large files, and stronger interactivity features to compete with tools like Rive.
I tried using Lottielab for the first time, and as a motion designer I can really see the potential of creating amazing simple animations for the web - easily, quickly and conveniently. It's definitely something I will recommend to my friends in the field especially if they don't have motion background. So easy to use, simple to learn, and quick to produce results :) love it!
I love this. I'm most definitely not a designer but my work has thrown me in the deep end and I've become obsessed. Animation has always been a segment that's felt wayyyy out of reach but now that's no longer the case so thank you 🙏 P.S. any advice/recommendations for how to create quality animations for complete newbies is very much welcomed 😂
Years ago, if you told me that you could make lightweight animations in an easy to use web UI and avoid After Effects altogether, I’d have scoffed at the idea. Lottielab has really changed the game in how it empowers users to create, and I’m excited to see where it goes next after its amazing journey so far.
Terrible loading experience. Markets itself as "generating in seconds" but takes multiple minutes - if it even loads at all. The animation builder might be awesome. But how the hell should I know if I never get that far.
Honestly a great tool, but its so buggy you absolutely can't use it for anything professional, it would probably be a very good tool in a few years, current recommendation, if you are a professional, do not subscribe, you will waste your money like i did.
I decided to opt for the paid plans after just an hour of trying it out. It's currently a great tool for basic needs, but I sincerely hope more features will be added in the future, along with additional tutorials and examples to facilitate learning.
🔥🔥🔥 Regardless of how cool the beta looks, that's the best PH video I've seen 😂 This will be so helpful! We're always trying to create stickier experiences with animations and this is a level of control I've never seen before. Cannot wait.
I hope to support more animation effects, and export more types of animations to increase APNG. In addition, the website often crashes when exporting from Google Chrome, and I hope to fix it
