I exclusively used vim for two years and emacs for three. I had a >2k line emacs config. I love customization, but JetBrains won me over in 2020 because its smart completion was so good I didn't even need to learn new languages to use them. I could use new frameworks without shopping for plugins first. I have used VSCode remote development, but I always return to the JetBrains suite because it configures things I wouldn't have thought about.
Best tools for developers. I personally use GoLand and Webstorm. Best feature includes: Services tabs for Docker interaction, Databases tab and Cloud Code by Google to interact with Google Cloud.
JetBrains' PyCharm is a killer product for web development. Not only does it support Python, but it also provides comprehensive support for web development. Subscribing to PyCharm is like getting both a Python IDE and WebStorm in one package. VS Code is undoubtedly an alternative. However, we still prefer a more integrated solution to installing numerous plugins and configuring text preferences from scratch. Simplicity is an iron rule at Sonofa AI.
I recently started using IDE Rider to write code in Unity. I really liked this tool. It works very quickly, offers useful hints and solutions in the code, conveniently presents the project structure, has a convenient version control system and the most amazing thing is that the debugger works with Unity without freezing, as can be seen in other IDEs. JetBrains is a great company in my opinion and has user-friendly, high-performance coding solutions. Thank you!
I've growth to love JetBrains IDEs, I learned all the shortcuts and I've been paying for a PHP Storm license for several years now, even though I also use the free VSCode for my open source projects and YouTube content. But when I need stability, extensibility and robust workflows, JetBrains never let me down.
PHPStorm is an excellent IDE that speeds up my workflow 10 fold. Whether it's the easy to use breakpoint tool, clear code highlighting, or the built in code search features, I would not be able to work as fast and efficient as I do without this tool. Incredible.
my IDE of choice. I've used a number of IDEs over the years, I typically work with Java on server side applications, and for the work I do this it covers everything I need to do and simple to work with. The usage is intuitive and the shortcuts make for an experience where I can focus on development rather than wondering how to work the IDE. plugins build for specific assistance, there's a bit of trial and error trying to find the right plugins
A comprehensive IDE for Java development, with powerful features and deep code understanding that boost productivity. I was accustomed to the simplicity of VS Code, and seem to be constantly discovering a new feature, so adapting to IntelliJ's extensive functionalities and shortcuts, require some adjustment time.
JetBrains tools are top-notch — reliable, smart, and built for productivity. IntelliJ and PyCharm have completely changed how I code. Excellent UX and constant innovation from the team.
A very cool ecosystem for working on different classes of applications. It is convenient that you can developapplications in PHP (PhpStorm), Python (PyCharm), front-end (WebStorm) and at the same time remain in a familiar and flexible environment.
Huge fan of WebStorm and IntelliJ IDEA. Their tools come with native support for a wide range of technologies, a built-in database view, and powerful indexing that makes navigation and searching incredibly fast and efficient.
PHPStorm's code completion is unreal—it's like having a senior dev whispering suggestions. Switched from VS Code and never looking back.
JetBrains is an impressive company that focuses on serving developers' needs with high-quality products. We absolutely love writing code on JetBrains IDEs and building plugins for their ecosystem.
