Softr

As I celebrate my first Softr-versary in just two days, I can confidently say that this product has been a game-changer for me as a No Coder. Over the past year, Softr with Airtable (and now Google Sheets! 🎉) has consistently delivered new and innovative features that have enhanced my experience and made my work more efficient. One of the things that stands out about Softr is the quality of its feature releases. Every week, they introduce new features that are both helpful and practical. This consistent shipping of great-quality features ensures that the tool remains relevant and up-to-date with the latest trends in the No Code industry. But what really sets Softr apart from other lookalikes is their exceptional Customer Support. Whenever I encounter any issues, their team is quick to respond and always goes above and beyond to ensure that all my questions are answered and issues are resolved. Their dedication to their customers is truly admirable. I've also had the pleasure of teaching Softr in my No Code course, and my students simply love it. The learning curve is minimal, and the potential for creating amazing projects is incredible. The tool is so intuitive that even beginners can quickly start building their own projects. In conclusion, I want to congratulate @mariam_hakobyan5, @arturmkrtchyan, @lizzie_lacour, Tommaso, Aramayis, Andranik, Viktoria, and the entire Softr team for creating such an exceptional product. If you're a No Coder looking for a powerful and easy-to-use tool for Airtable and/or Google Sheets, Softr is definitely worth checking out.

Softr has enabled our company to start building useful apps for our production team where previously we were limited to excel and physical paper because off the shelf options did not have the flexibility we required. We are able, with Softr, to build something that fits our unique business needs. The blocks are fairly straightforward to work with and I am still learning so I expect I will figure out better ways to use them as I learn which will unlock more potential for our in-house app. One thing I hope will be included in softr in the future is more flexibility with the charts. Right now I cannot achieve the same level of detail with softr charts as with excel graphs. I want to use the charts to provide feedback to different departments in the company but there is no option to input multiple datasets. From the softr resources explaining how the chart blocks work I cannot figure this out. However, I am a beginner so if anyone knows of a resource that would help me figure this out I would love to see that.

I didn't want to leave anything negative! But I want this review to be as honest as possible. First of all.. Sorry my bad english.. and second of all... I do not usually reviews so this is the first time I review any software or websites. I have to say... I am very glad that I bumbed into Softr it's amazing even in the state it currently is.. It's amazing. And I dont care about the high price of the plan I need because it is worth it. Everything works so smoothly and I can quickly create a website with customer area and data editing feature.. Every feature that there is currently, is amazing... But.. I do have to say.. Softr is missing some key features like data deleting feature (airtable) But they promised to deliver that feature in 2022/Q3... Great!!! But it's also missing more detailed theme / element customization tools.. Every site that I build with it looks more or less the same... I would love to see more options to customize the theme and it's layout,animations etc.. I would also love to see layout editing system. Show tables, elements, images, text etc in columns.. Now its only 1 element per section.. Would love to see that feature... But even at this state I have to say that you Softr made a good job! I became your loyal customer and i want to see the progress that this tool is going to make and how overpower this tool will someday be!! Thank you!

On the surface Softr is great. Easy to use and connect with airtable. However it is missing some basic features like dynamic and conditional forms and other functionality to build anything slightly complex. I was trying to build an MVP for an app I wanted to launch but it was not possible without some features that they said would be done June of last year. Finally by December, I cancelled and have been watching up dates while building in Zoho Creator.

Besides the occasional bugs and the lack of thorough tests in their releases (which is not really time-saving...), Softr lacks fairly basic features to build dynamic UIs, like conditioning the content displayed based on data points (e.g. background setting based on status, displaying this or that block based on this column's value, etc.), or layout options for tables, the inability to create new records besides using forms (btw the design forms is catastrophic, we never use them), or displaying proper data viz. So far, we rather regret selecting this solution, hopefully it will get better - otherwise we might very well switch to another.

Why I turned away from Glide Pages to Softr: I love Glide for its simplicity and ease, especially for mobile apps, but I tested Glide Pages intensely and discovered some weaknesses. Why comparing these two? In my case I am building a user dashboard and page generator, desktop-first, Zapier connectable. WHERE GLIDE PAGES IS BETTER (as of now): - Layout options: Modals, columns etc. far better (in Softr you are bound to templates) - Building custom actions and flows, connecting more than 2 data sets - Design: Edit screens and dropdowns look far better, lists are far more customisable WHERE SOFTR IS BETTER: - Design: Far more options to customise and implement your own CI - Payment: Gateway, account pages, CRM included (I had a bit more complicated workaround in Glide) - Opengraph, shareable on social media - Integrating app & website makes more sense in Softr (Glide Pages as blog and docs looks weird) Some other stuff I do not value so much right now (Airtable, embedding content).

Like most generative AI - the power is in the prompt, but then Softr.io takes it to the next level. Literally, five minutes after entering my prompt, I had a multi-page web app with a generated logo, a great new name that I will be testing, and suggested copy. I easily connected my back-end data with GoogleSheets and tweaked that app a bit in Softr,io studios and I am ready to test. Awesome job @mariam_hakobyan5 and team.

Softr will likely replace WordPress in 10 years ... think WordPress pre 1.0 (Miles Davis) Once they get their pretty permalink issues fixed this will actually be SEO friendly and easy to use. For now great for small projects and sign-up forms. Also stating the price is FREE is quite misleading since to do anything but play around with it you will need to pay.

Great place to build an MVP rudimentary marketplace, dynamic website or portal. Their support is bad, I've had technical issues that they take weeks to assist with, often going days without any update. Their whole site was down once at a very important moment in my business - my customers could not access my website and I lost out on business.
