Congrats @ilan and team!! Async is literally one of a kind — there's nothing else like it out there. Ilan and the team have been super responsive with early feedback over the past few months, and iterating quickly. Async completely solves the problem of long voice notes and fills a void between long email threads and calendared meetings. I love having a branded link I can share with others or on my website for people to leave notes at, or share in an email as a response to someone. Agree with some of the other comments that removing registration for the other side would remove some friction — understood why it's there, but I wouldn't mind dealing with any spam etc. That said, upvoting this and hope it gets #1 for the day (even though we have a product of our own on Product Hunt today!) because it's just that good. Congrats all!! 🌟👏🏽
10/10 domain name. My personal use case: contractors on different time zones. Signed up web and downloaded mobile app. Can't believe you have Silicon and Intel for Mac. Sync contacts Google and Apple, nice. Replies, time stamped emojis. Edit title inline. Super fast and intuitive. Literally thought of everything. Product of 2023 so far in my book. Well done.
Amazingly well designed product, a huge upgrade compared to Whatsapp voice messages. I immediately took a premium account and got my personal URL after trying :) Great job team Async!
I thought Async was great, but then I read the terms & conditions as well as the privacy policy. Virtually nothing you do on this app is off limits for what is allowed in the company's collection, use, and/or sale (sometimes called "sharing"). Any message you receive ought to be considered 0% private. This reservation of rights to the collection, sale, and use of user data (including all messages/voice memos) is unduly overbroad and ought to be more obvious rather than tucked away in lengthy legal documents. This is a shame because the app otherwise seemed worthy of use.
So glad a team finally addresses the topic of voice messages! 🙏 I'm using them a lot on Whatsapp but many pain points 1/ some of my pro contacts and co-workers would rather read my msgs than listen to them, so the transcript feature is amazing here ✨, 2/ in the same way, I'm not always able to listen to my contacts' voice messages, 3/ it's tough to keep track of everything that is shared in a voice note and answer to all discussion points, 4/ not everyone is a fan of using Whatsapp (or another non-pro app) in a work environment. Thanks Async team for the great app! *Very* enthusiastic about it. (also: async.com => genius)
Congrats @ilan and team! The best parts of async.com for me are: 1) A focus on making asyncs easy to receive/consume 2) A rich landing page for my async URL 3) As simple & easy as possible to use for me to talk with people OUTSIDE of my company (clients, investors, etc) - many of whom will be 1st time users. These are the keys to success AFAICT, and async.com is off to a strong start.
Incredible product and design 😍 I love how personal voice notes feel compared to emails. I can see why voice notes in the workplace won't be a no brainer for everyone. Some functions will still need to favour written communication or meetings for optimal productivity, but it is a tool that was missing and can only improve the overall productivity of big and small companies. Well done team 👏
I was a beta user and this is a great way to consolidate multiple threads on varying topics in one place. Always having a place to reference and a quick way to communicate with your community. A cool platform to use to level-up your communications!
I've been using the product for a few months now and cannot imagine my work day without it! From chatting with founders to debriefing with colleagues, Async has saved me some precious time :)
Wanted to say that I love your copywriting — the quotes around "quick" is super colloquial. Nice, simple, powerful interface. Really love it. This is the second voice app in the past week that I've discovered on PH.
nobody does voice notes like async! it saves so much time spent on context setting, follow ups, and sharing updates. as a chronically ill person, there are very few tools that enable me to prioritize my health and async happens to be one of them
