I chose the waggle camera because it was just what I needed. It came with a trial period so I could make sure it worked like I needed.
We were very disappointed and underwhelmed with this product. It caused us more headaches and grief than actual help. We purchased it right before leaving for a couple of weeks on the road in our RV and expected it to be a huge help to us. NOT!! It consistently showed the inside temp of the RV to be significantly higher than what our reliable thermometer in the RV showed. It also indicated that the air quality in the RV was fair to moderate at best, which is also not accurate. We have a carbon dioxide detector/monitor that says everything is just fine. We plan to return this to Amazon this week and get a full refund. I will purchase a more reliable brand elsewhere.
I hate to say it but I’ve had a very negative experience with waggle. My first temp monitor died after a year. About a year and a half later I bought another temp monitor, a 4g tv camera and a 4g mini. The temp monitor is working, both cameras are not. Customer service rarely answers the phone or email. Their answer when I finally got someone on the phone was maybe it’s a network issue someone will get back to you in 24-48 hours. For a product that’s supposed to help keep pets alive that doesn’t sound like good customer service when they don’t even have technical support on hand to help troubleshoot problems. Most likely I’ll be trying to return both cameras and cancelling my subscription plans. The picture is also lesser quality than the cheaper cameras I have off of Amazon and less responsive
I felt the website was quite difficult to use in that i had many questions and frequently had to reach out to customer service for assistance. They were quite responsive within 24-48 hours when I wasn’t able to get someone on the phone. I returned my Waggle monitor as it took an ordinant amount of time to get the RV 4G mini camera (over a month). We then didn’t realize we weren’t able to use our Verizon phone subscription alone for wifi/internet, that it’s required to use theirs in addition to subscribing to ours. Waggle was quite understanding and did allow us to return them within the 60-day time period.
I have been a user of Waggle products for a long time! My first monitor was when they were known as RV Pet Safety. and the improvements and new products are amazing. My first monitor would tell me what the temperature was inside my RV. Now, my newest monitor will tell me the temperature and humidity, both current and past. It can also tell me the current location and even notify me if my RV moves! It's like a pet temperature monitor plus a LoJack built together. Now Waggle also offers cameras, both WiFi and 4G. Door sensors to let you know when a door opens, great for security. The also offer water sensors to detects leaks. The App on my phone has been updated and even provide information on RV campgrounds! I love Waggle!
The product is great. It does all that is advertized. The instructions should be clarified to include to leave the monitor plugged in when possible to enable the power outage monitor to work. If you do not leave it plugged in, it will automatically send power outage notifications to your email or text as you choose. I thought it had a way of determining that the camera had the outage but I was misktaken. I contacted the company to ask for solutions to the issue and they agreed to send a new monitor. Later that evening a technician called me back to talk further about the issue and he told me that the notifications would occur due to kt not being plugged in. They are designed to inform the customer when the power to the camper is interrupted ot the monitor. It of course made sense and we have had no further notifications since it has remained plugged in. The service/technical department was very efficient and competent, and helpful. The product is great and the service is s I perior. I highly recommend them and the product.
While once the product is connected, it does a decent job but the process to connect (or reconnect is tedious). Honestly, it would be better if one could "refresh" on demand for a more immediate reading, but that doesn't work (at least) on our device. Also, we go to more remote areas and while the device is supposed to work on cellular networks, I often have no reading available. I am now on my third monitor. Number two was purchased in 2023 and was already deemed not working so it was frustrating. However, customer service fixed me up with a replacement and while it also took awhile to connect to my subscription, it did eventually work and I am appreciative of that.
We bought this product to help us be at ease leaving our two dogs in our van while we climb, hike, go out to eat or visit towns, especially in warm weather. We had always left them at home or didn't travel in warmer weather together. Found this product and it was a game changer. I practiced using it in my car first so I knew what to expect before using on a trip. There was a learning curve with the unit. It has to be fully charged before it can work, 7+ hrs. And the unit really likes to be plugged in. Yes it does still send me a reminder text/email when it is not plugged in but it really needs the full charge first and works better plugged in. If cell is spotty the unit has issues sending alerts. We have it plugged in but have not mounted it in the van to date as certain areas we travel have limited cell and the unit gets blocked at weird spots in the van. I always check to make sure I get a number and make adjustments to were it sits if not before we leave. We do have a 12V AC unit and can hear it from the outside but seeing the number makes us more relaxed. The AC unit is very quiet so it is deceiving some times from a distance. We have had a few issues with the unit. First the unit does not work in Canada. Which was kind of disappointing bc we were there over 2 weeks and the main reason we bought the unit. We understood bc we did have to get an international Verizon plan for our phones but disappointed there isn't an option for the Waggle. And didn't figure that out until we were there. The second issues was the unit wasn't resetting and we had to contact help to get it reset. It has now reset but it did take a few days to get it back up and running. There are helpful links on the app and it is fairly friendly to use. Play with the app first before traveling. When not using reset your notifications so you don't receive all the time. I highly recommend this unit. Can't wait for our next road trip. Our unit seems to do best if we keep it plugged in and charged when not traveling. Otherwise we are constantly resetting it when we need it and that can take a few hours/service. I just have to remember to bring it in to the house and not leave in the van when not traveling. Customer service has great when I have an issue.
I’ve had my Waggle for a few years. I use it from around May to November- while we are competing in dog sports. I really like that I don’t need to be super close to check it. Sometimes it seems like it doesn’t update temps well- but when this happens it seems to be in heavily populated shows, where I’m guessing it’s just slow. Last fall I accidentally forgot to cancel the subscription and was able to get it refunded right away and canceled. I’ve had great luck with customer service. More excited since I have a new car and I can leave it plugged in to the charger while in the car.
I have a working Dog in Law Enforcement and I use this in conjunction with my K9 heat alarm to monitor the temperatures in my cruiser when I'm not in the vehicle. I love the fact that I can set it for notifications and the use of the app is very user friendly. I did have some issues with it recently and I reached out to support. They fixed it within 24 hours. Great to know that they stand behind their products when issues arises and can help when needed. I would recommend.
