I bought eSIM from them. It doesn't work correctly. I just can not install it. I’ve asked for a refund, and their support team said they could do it to my bank account. After that, they didn't give money back but offered their air money. I don't need their air money. But they just ignore my requests to give money back to my card as they offered previously. I’ve noticed many people whose money they just stole without giving the right service. It's definitely a fraud as according to their policy they should give money back if they can not give you a service. Never use their app! They are just scammers!

What exactly am I paying for? Useless when you actually need them. I bought an Airalo eSIM before going abroad — followed all the setup steps before leaving and made sure everything was in place. Landed and guess what? No data. Not even for a second. I had no way to message anyone, no access to maps, and couldn’t even contact Airalo to get support. The whole point of using Airalo was to avoid exactly this situation. By the time I found Wi-Fi hours later, I saw they had finally responded — but with some basic, copy-paste advice from their FAQ that I had clearly already tried and even mentioned in my support request. It’s insulting, lazy, and a complete waste of time. I replied via both email and WhatsApp. It’s now been over 8 hours and still no response and 2 days without data that I paid for. I literally didn’t get their message because I didn’t have the data they failed to provide. You can’t call yourself a travel connectivity service if people are left stranded on arrival with no access to support. And they still don’t want to give me my refund. Sort yourselves out. I’m done with Airalo — and others should be warned.

I had a terrible experience with Airalo – my account was hacked, fraudulent charges were made, and when I contacted customer support, it took over 12 hours to get a response. They only refunded one charge, and even after deleting my account, the hacker regained access and made more charges. I’ve researched online and found many others with the same issues recently, so I strongly suspect there may be an unreported data breach. Do your research – check out review sites and other user comments to verify these claims. It’s clear that Airalo’s security and customer service are lacking, and I can’t recommend using their services. Stay safe and avoid Airalo.

Bought 2 packages whilst in Egypt, first time it worked fine so I clearly installed it all correctly. 2nd time I wanted to access the internet whilst in Hurghada airport (there is no WiFi access there) and so bought again. It indicated I had 4G on my phone but there was no internet connection and so it was totally useless. Cost me £6 which was a total waste of money. Just tried to complain via the WhatsApp chat they provide on their website. Obviously not a human responding as the robot did not understand the issue at all and just kept repeating the same useless rubbish. I explained a couple of times and requested a refund but was a pointless exercise. So have now deleted the app and reporting my experience here

My eSim card worked initially, and then stopped after about 1 day of use. Support attempted to be helpful to get the eSim functioning for me (however, if it worked at first.. I'm not sure what could have happened). We tried for about a week back and forth via email, which was also extremely tough as I am travelling WITHOUT data at this point, with no luck. They then would not consider a refund as 'I had used the plan' - for about 1 day let me reiterate, and that they could see consistent usage (completely false) - basically calling me a liar. They will not honour any sort of refund or accept any sort of fault here. I am travelling in a group with friends who have eSims from other providers, and they have had no troubles at all. I would seriously recommend shopping around before trying Airalo, especially after my customer service experience.

I recently had a harrowing experience with the Airalo eSIM App and felt compelled to share my dreadful encounter. This app and its services are nothing short of a nightmare. Airalo's eSIM left me stranded in Azerbaijan with absolutely no internet connectivity, despite their grandiose claim of "Stay connected, wherever you travel, at affordable rates." This claim turned out to be nothing but a cruel farce. I found myself in a dangerous situation, fearing for my personal safety, as I had no way to access Maps or reach out for help. To make matters worse, Airalo's customer support was utterly useless. They could do nothing more than ask the same questions repeatedly and respond with the same copied and pasted answers, offering no real assistance in resolving my dire situation. And the cherry on top of this disastrous experience? Airalo flat out refused to refund my costs, ludicrously claiming that data had been exchanged, even though no meaningful service was provided. I implore anyone reading this review to steer clear of Airalo at all costs. This app and its services are a disgrace, and I wouldn't wish my nightmarish experience on my worst enemy. Avoid Airalo like the plague.

THEY REUSE CODES THAT WON'T WORK. - I have used Airalo a few times now. The first 3-4 times were as normal as can be expected, recommended it to everyone as an eSim provider option not having used any other providers. However, this time was different. Went to buy a new eSim upon arriving, purchased it, went to install it immediately as I normally would, and was hit with a "This code is no longer valid" error message. With no options available. So I tried again about 20 times, tweaking something each time (updates, restarting, etc) So I contacted the support in the app. An hour had passed so I got a different eSim and got going to my hotel. 6 hours later they contacted me asking me to run through the setup multiple ways - ways I had tried - immediately getting hit with the same message. After some back and forth they wanted me to turn on one of the previous ones I had used with them and tried suggesting that it was actually that one. I, not being a complete idiot, didn't fall for that. After a bit more back and forth the support agent just said we appreciate your feedback and then closed the chat. Although 4/5 times it worked as it should - in the event you get a code that's already used- seems like you can just say goodbye to whatever you paid with no real help whatsoever.

I hold an Australian mobile with Telstra and recently travelled to the UK and Canada (Oct 2022). I got Airalo as my first eSim experience and was connected within minutes of downloading the app to my mobile. It worked throughout the UK, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Isle of Skye. A few weak patches here and there but compared to my husband's eSim with another provider, i had no issues whilst my husband didn't have signal outside any cities. My next destination was Canada. I purchased some data before leaving the UK and was connected to Telus by the time I landed. I definitely recommend it, although still expensive for small data load. Ensure you connect to WIFI whenever its available to save on data.

Airalo is a scam and shit. I tried it for the first time when my partner and I travel to Portugal. I started with the 1G / 7 days plan as I wasn’t sure how it would work. I installed it prior to my travel and upon arrival it started working. However, when I purchase the more expensive top up package of 3GB for 30 days to extend the data, problems started arising on one of my 2 phones. The package did not work and I was not able to use the data plan. After fiddling over for a few hours, I decided to try buy another top up package to see if it would “jump start” the eSIM again. This time ( another 1G for 7 days ) it worked and jump started the data again. However, this means the 3GB top up was totally unused and wasted. I contacted Airalo customer service and explained the whole thing. After a few exchange, they insisted it was the APN setting which I told them it couldn’t be because I had exactly the same on both iPhones of the same model and age. If it worked on one that was setup the same way exactly according to their non manual instruction, why can that be different on the other. The customer service gave some lame explanation and insisted they could not refund or do anything about it. I think this is Airalo modus operandi, they tricked you into thinking it’s a cheap plan until you get yourself into a situation like mine that ended up paying for more for data with unusable data. Also, their app tricked me into saying the top up plan will self activate when the first plan expire or used up which in fact it does not and caused my eSIM to stall so that the top up plan become useless and I have to buy another plan and waste the previous plan. THIS IS A SCAM guys. BEWARE!!!! I wished I have read these reviews before buying it. What a waste of money.

First experience with eSIM. After some research, we have decided to give Airalo a try during our recent trip to Asia (Taiwan, Macao, Thailand). All four iphones connected to locate internet service flawlessly without issues. Connections were quick. Set up was easy. Just a few buttons (instructions were clearly provided during sign up) rather than switching physical SIM cards at each country was hassle free. Highly recommended. Two thumbs up!!

Stay away. They took my money and provided an esim that does not work. Contacted their customer service and they take ages to reply. When they reply, they give u useless info. This is waste of time as i needed the sim while im on a business trip. I had to buy the esim from another vendor which worked right away. When i asked airalo for refund, they refused! Even though they can see that the esim was not used at all.
